A church in Westbrook was damaged when someone drove a car into the building Sunday evening.

It happened at the Lighthouse Christian Center on Spring Street.

CBS 13 reports that the people inside the church had to evacute while fire fighters addresed concerns about the building’s gas and electricity.

Utility companies and Westbrook Code Enforcement were also called to the scene.

No injuries were reported.

The accident was still under investigation Sunday and no further details about the crash were immediately reported.
