Victims identified in Chelsea double homicide

Police have identified the victims in a double homicide in Chelsea.

Maine State Police say 43-year-old Christopher Hunnewell and 22-year-old Ty Carter, both from Chelsea, were found dead at a home on Windsor Road Wednesday evening.

A juvenile male was charged with murder after being taken into custody at the scene and brought to Long Creek Youth Development Center in South Portland.

Both men’s bodies were taken to the Chief Medical Examiner’s Office in Augusta, but their cause and manner of death is being withheld for the time being.

Police say there’s no danger to the public.

The investigation is ongoing.
