Waterville Man Arrested for Supplying Fatal Fentanyl Dose

WATERVILLE, Maine (WGAN)  A man from Waterville is accused of giving a deadly dose of fentanyl to a man who died in his home.

33-year-old Sean Rancourt was arrested Tuesday and is being held on $100,000 bail.

According to our info partners at Channel 8, police said Kevin Hubert, 35, died in December in Waterville. He was found in his bathroom with a syringe in his wastebasket.

Police say they reviewed text messages and determined Rancourt supplied Hubert the drugs.

Rancourt was just released from prison in October after more than three years.

He and Hubert were both convicted of stealing copper from a home in Waterville in 2014.
