AUBURN, Maine (AP) – Police say a 72-year-old West Bath man has died in a motorcycle crash in Auburn.

Authorities say Roger Chessey went off the road and hit a tree Friday afternoon. Chessey, who was wearing a helmet, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police say neither speed nor alcohol appear to be factors.
