Westbrook police asking for help locating man who followed and accosted high school student


Police in Westbrook are searching for a man who they say followed and accosted a high school student on Tuesday.

Police say the man accosted the student on Monroe Avenue, following her down Stroudwater Street to Vocational Drive. The student is safe and reported the incident to a school resource officer.

The vehicle may be a Chevrolet with tinted windows and a blacked-out car logo on the front.

The driver is described as a heavy-set Black man in his 30s, with a French accent, short haircut, and no facial hair.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Westbrook Police.
