A whale was found washed up on Old Orchard Beach Sunday.

Officials were unable to immediately remove the whale from the beach because no equipment was available. It’ll be moved on Monday.

The Portland Press Herald reports it’s the second large marine creature to wash ashore in southern Maine in the past few days. A shark weighing around 600 pounds washed up on Higgins Beach in Scarborough on Thursday.
