The 2021 Maine Lobster Festival is a no-go and now another festival celebrating a Maine staple has been nixed for a second year because of the pandemic.

The Wilton Blueberry Festival was called off because of concerns over coronavirus.

According to CBS 13, Wilton Blueberry Festival Board chairman Shannon Smith says it was impossible to manage current COVID-19 restrictions in a public setting.

Refunds will be issued to those who made contributions to the festival in 2020.

Though that festival and several others are cancelled for a second year, organizers with the Fryeburg Fair announced this week that event will take place as planned this fall.
