Windham Mom Crashes Into Art Gallery With Child In Vehicle

The Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office responded after an SUV crashed into an art gallery in Casco.

The sheriff’s office said the vehicle was driven by Kathryn Worster, 22, of Windham.

Worster crashed into Mars in Sol Gallery, near the intersection of Route 302 and Quaker Ridge Road, at 6 a.m. on Friday, according to a press release.

Her 2008 Ford Escape was totaled, and the building sustained significant structural damage.

Worster’s two-year-old daughter was in the vehicle at the time. She was not hurt, as she was restrained in a child safety seat.

Worster was evaluated at the scene and released.

Deputies said speed and fatigue are believed to be the main factors in the crash. Alcohol was not involved.
