Wiscasset police asking public for leads in search for missing man

Police are asking for the public’s help finding a missing Wiscasset man.

44-year-old Michael Pekich was last seen leaving his family’s home in Wiscasset on April 22nd. Police say he was heading to the Downeast region to dig worms and was planning on returning in a couple of days.

Pekich was last seen driving a 2011 Jeep Patriot with Maine Lobster Registration 139-ABR. Police say his last known whereabouts were in Ellsworth on April 23rd when he took money out of his bank account.

He’s 5’1″, 180 pounds with blonde hair and blue eyes.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Wiscasset police.
