Witnesses report shots fired from two vehicles in Portland

Portland Police are investigating reports of shots exchanged between two vehicles in an incident Tuesday night.

Police responded to the area of 77 Taft Avenue for a report of a shooting around 7:15 p.m. Tuesday.

Witnesses saw a black Lexus pull up alongside a small sedan that was pulled over and fire shots at the sedan’s occupant, who fired back at the Lexus.

The Lexus quickly sped off and turned onto Godfrey Street before continuing on to Josslyn Street.

Anyone in the area with surveillance equipment or any information about the shooting is being asked to contact police.
