LIMINGTON, Maine (WGAN) A Limington woman has been charged with making methamphetamine.
The York County Sheriff’s Office says that on Tuesday, deputies were called for a possible explosion on South Road in Limington.
Police say when they arrived, they saw smoke and smelled “caustic chemicals” coming from the residence.
The homeowner, Sarah Goodwin, and her two children answered the door. Goodwin told deputies there hadn’t been an explosion, but police say evidence of meth manufacturing could be seen.
The residence was secured and Wednesday morning, the Maine Drug Enforcement Agency Clandestine Lab Team went to the home and found a number of meth ingredients and partially processed ingredients.
As a result, Goodwin was charged with aggravated maintaining a methamphetamine laboratory.
The 38-year-old is being held at York County Jail on $50,000 cash bail.
