Woman dies after crashing into tree in Oxford County

A Rumford woman was killed when she went off the road and crashed into a tree.

The Oxford County Sheriff’s Office says the crash happened around 8 a.m. Friday on Greenwoods Road in Sumner.

Deputies say 65-year-old Teresa Palmer hit a tree in her Kia Forte and died at the scene.

Anyone who saw the vehicle before the crash is asked to contact police.
