Woman dies in St. Albans crash, 3-year-old son survives

A 24-year-old woman was killed in a crash in St. Albans Thursday morning.

The Waterville Morning Sentinel reports a 2011 Chevy Cruze driven by Chelsey Roy of St. Albans went off Palmyra Road as Roy was driving to work.

The vehicle struck a tree near the intersection with Magoon Road.

Roy died at the scene. Her 3-year-old son, who was in the back seat, survived the crash and was taken to the hospital for treatment of minor injuries.

The cause of the accident is still under investigation.
