PORTLAND, Maine (AP) — A woman who had been missing for six days after she was seen leaving a Maine hospital has been found safe.

Portland police found 36-year-old Katharine Kinney unharmed Wednesday night. The Gorham woman had been missing since last Thursday, when she left Maine Medical Center in Portland without her cellphone or money.

A police spokesman did not release details of where she was found.

The police department thanked people who had spread her picture and description on social media. They say it produced several valuable tips.
