PORTLAND, Maine (AP) The Maine Supreme Judicial Court has upheld the conviction and 32-year prison sentence for a woman convicted of murdering her former husband in front of their young children.
Kandee Weyland Collind was accused of stabbing Scott Weyland to death while their children watched in February 2017 after she learned a judge awarded Weyland primary custody.
She argued that a judge should’ve let her withdraw her guilty plea and that the sentence imposed by the judge was too harsh.
