The “Women For Trump” bus tour was scheduled to make a stop in Old Orchard Beach Wednesday night.

It came after a last-minute change of venue when the owners of the Stars and Stripes bar in Freeport said they were misled about the purpose of the event when the group reached out to them initially, and decided not to host it.

The owners said they were under the impression that some Trump supporters would be stopping in for a drink, and that it wasn’t a campaign event to support the re-election of President Trump.

The owners said they didn’t want to get involved in any political agenda, and decided to close for the day instead.

Instead, the group was set to stop at Jimmy The Greek’s in Old Orchard Beach around 5:15pm.

They’ll also be making stops in Manchester and Concord, New Hampshire on Thursday.
