Woodstock man accused of sexual contact with child under the age of 12

WOODSTOCK, Maine (WGAN) Police have arrested a Woodstock man accused of having sexual contact with a child.

The Bangor Daily News reports 40-year-old Michael Smith was charged with unlawful sexual contact dating back to 2011. He was arrested at his home on September 9th and released on $2,500 bail the same day.

The allegations involve a child younger than 12. Smith is accused of having sexual contact with the child on “numerous occasions” in March of 2011. He’s now prohibited from having contact with anyone under the age of 18.
