A Maine man was sentenced to 10 years behind bars for a police pursuit that left a woman seriously injured.

According to the Sun Journal, a judge on Wednesday sentenced 28-year-old Ethan Rioux-Poulios to serve 10 years out of a 25-year sentence. He pleaded guilty to five felony charges.

Police said Rioux-Poulios led Oxford police on a chase in March of 2022. He was chased onto Oxford Street where he crashed into another vehicle, leaving two people injured. One woman suffered serious injuries.

At the time of the incident, Rioux-Poulios was on probation after being convicted of manslaughter in another crash that left a man dead in 2019.
