The wreckage of a Portland-based fishing boat that sank, taking the lives of it’s four crew members, has been found off the coast of Massachusetts.

The Emmy Rose went down in the water about 22 miles northeast of Provincetown, Massachusetts in November of 2020.

According to the Portland Press Herald, the boat’s wreckage was found on May 19th by Klein Marine Systems, a New Hampshire-based company that did a side scan sonar survey operation from a NOAA vessel.

A Coast Guard spokesman said more information, including the exact location of the boat, can’t be released because an investigation by the National Transportation Safety Board is still ongoing.
