Maine Points: Babygirl Foundation
Posted on by dmartignetti
Babygirl Foundation A charitable organization providing families, parents, and caregivers with resources to help improve the family’s experience during a child’s difficult hospital stay.
The Babygirl Foundation is a Maine based nonprofit that was established in 2019 after the passing of our daughter. The mission of the Babygirl Foundation is to ease the burden on families during an unexpected hospital stay. We are doing this through what we call the “Parents Closet”. This initiative was created by the Babygirl Foundation in the fall of 2019 in Addison’s honor. Our hope is that families who have unexpected or unplanned hospitalizations will be able to receive some much needed comforts from home so that they can be at their best as a caregiver.
In the final segment of this week’s show hosted by Shawn Moody- there ends up being a roundtable discussion between Shawn, News Anchor Nate Hanscom, and producer Jeremy Mixer about music, concerts (why do bigger acts go to Bangor instead of Portland?) and plenty more!
Host Shawn Moody is joined by Kevin Fitzpatrick, who has been camping out on the roof of Patriot Subaru in Saco (across from Funtown/Splashtown USA) every year to meet a fundraising goal for STRIVE. Kevin has done this for nearly a decade and a half. Find out how things are going when it comes to reaching his goal, what his goal is, and… if he’s stuck on the roof…… how does he go to the bathroom?
The phones are open! More calls come in to talk about former Senator, Secretary of State, founder of “Walk a Mile in their Shoes” and friend of WGAN (and every other talk radio station in the state!) Bill Diamond
With Matt Prater hitting a 32-yard field goal as time expired, Baltimore squandered a 15-point lead in the final four minutes in a stunning season-opening 41-40 loss to the Buffalo Bills on Sunday night.
