Maine Points: HLAA Chapter For Maine

On this weeks show, Danny speaks with Margaret Myatt
Vice President Of Hearing Loss Association Chapter (HLAA) For Maine, DownEast.

The history of HLAA goes back to 1979. It began as a support group in the leader’s living room. It grew fast and became a support organization for local chapters throughout the US. The emphasis on local support allowed small chapters to grow and flourish. There are over 200 chapters across the United States.

HLAA Downeast Chapter
The mission of the Hearing Loss Association of America (HLAA) Downeast Chapter is to educate Mainers with hearing loss (as well as their families and friends) about the causes, nature, and complications of hearing loss and what can be done to better cope with that loss.
