Maine Points: Portland Children’s Dyslexia Center

Dyslexia is a neurological learning disability that makes it difficult for children and adults to read, write and spell. It affects up to one out of every five people and affects boys and girls equally.

Danny speaks with Thom Pulkkinen and Reuben Bell from Portland Children’s Dyslexia Center. Their Mission is To provide free reading and written language instruction to children with dyslexia, and to train their tutors in the multisensory Orton-Gillingham approach to reading, spelling and writing.
