Maine Points: Tunnel To Towers

On September 11, 2001, FDNY firefighter Stephen Siller laid down his life to save others
when America was attacked.
● Stephen was the youngest of seven children. Both his mother and father passed away
by the time he was ten, leaving him an orphan to be raised by his older siblings.
● Stephen went through a period of struggle, but because of the love of his siblings and
the values instilled in him by his parents, he grew up to be an extraordinary individual
and dedicated firefighter

For over 20 years, the Tunnel to Towers Foundation has honored Stephen’s legacy by
supporting the heroes who continue to risk life and limb in the line of duty.

Tunnel to Towers Foundation’s Impact
● To date, Tunnel to Towers has delivered over 1,000 mortgage-free homes to our
nation’s heroes and has committed over $500 million across all of our programs.
● Every year, the Foundation achieves the highest rating, four stars, from Charity
Navigator, the nation’s largest and most-utilized evaluator of charities.
● Over 95 cents of every dollar donated to the Foundation goes directly to our programs
