Maine Points: WinterKids

At WinterKids, They are committed to reaching children from diverse backgrounds, ensuring that every child has access to the benefits of outdoor winter activity. Their programs serve kids from preschool through high school, with a special focus on those who may face barriers to participation, including children from low-income families and under-resourced communities. They work with schools, childcare centers, and community organizations across Maine and beyond to ensure that no matter their zip code, financial situation, or experience with winter sports, every child has the opportunity to get outside, be active, and enjoy the benefits of winter recreation.

License to Chill is their annual fundraising celebration that kicks off our seasonal programming. It’s a great opportunity for people who value outdoor education and recreation and who also want to foster that appreciation in kids. It’s a chance to celebrate Maine’s winter culture, with a night packed full of entertainment, food, and fun.
