Maine Veterans Spotlight 10/27/24

Jeff Pierce talks with Principal Deputy Director DPAA, Fern Sumpter Winbush about The Defense POW/MIA Accounting Agency, working to recover service members who became missing during their service. The agency conducts periodic updates and annual government briefings for families of missing personnel. We have one such event coming up this Friday and Saturday here in Portland at the Double Tree.

We travel back in time to Sunday, October 20th, 20224where we were at the Hot Rods and Heroes Car Show at Bil Dodge Auto Group to benefit Veterans Forward, a Program of Fed Cap Maine. We will talk to Michael Bernier for Fed Cap and Veterans Forward, a US Navy Veteran

We talk with Tony Mellon a U.S. Army Veteran and volunteer for Team Rubicon.

We will talk with Camden Paquin, who is not a Veteran because he is 9 years old, but he is doing some great work for Mission Working Dogs, and we will hear his story.

We will round out the show with Al Cyr, a Vietnam Era Coast Guard Veteran who we met when conducting a Vietnam Veteran Welcome Home Ceremony at Bill Dodge Auto Group on Sunday, October 20th. 2024
