Community Matters More is a program of The Bangor Savings Bank Foundation that directly engages the public in giving grant awards. During the month of April , they are pleased to share that the public’s votes will determine the recipients of over $155,000 to nonprofit organizations in ME and NH.
In turn, the nonprofits with the most votes in each geographical region will receive a $5,000 grant, with winners to be announced in June .
Whether appearing on the online ballot or participating as a write-in, organizations must be a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit to participate.
If you find that your favorite nonprofit organization is not on the ballot when you vote, you have the option of writing in your nomination. Write-in candidates with the most votes in each geographical region are eligible to win a $2,500 grant.
