Ken Jansen from the Mary’s Walk Committee discussed the 28th annual event on March 29 in downtown Saco, benefiting The Maine Cancer Foundation. The walk honors Mary Kerry Libby, who died of Burkitt lymphoma in 1997. Registration is $30 if done before the day of the event, or $35 on the day. Over $4.6 million has been raised since 1999, all of which stays in Maine to support cancer prevention, early detection, and patient outcomes. The event includes ceremonies and a walk led by a bagpiper, starting at Thornton Academy at 10 AM.
