The Maine CDC reporting one new coronavirus related death on Saturday, bringing the death toll to 112.

A jump in positive cases by 21 brings the total to 3,520 in Maine.

As of Saturday, a total of 368 people have been hospitalized due to the coronavirus, while 2,972 people have recovered.

Cumberland County still has the highest case count, with 1,861 cases, while York County has the second highest with 570.

The Maine CDC has issued a standing order, which can be found on their website and printed out. The order allows any Mainer who is considered to be at an elevated risk of exposure to Covid-19 to receive a test even if they were not ordered to get one by a primary care provider.

Earlier this week, Governor Janet Mills extended her state of Emergency, and requires businesses to enforce the mandatory masking mandate set forth. Similar to the “no shoes, no shirt, no service” policy that has been in place for years.
