A 17-year-old driver faces multiple charges after being accused of hitting a plane at the Portsmouth International Airport during a police chase.

The New Hampshire State Police say they were searching for a vehicle connected to reported crimes and tried to stop the teenager Saturday evening in Portsmouth.

Police say the teenager tried to flee, crashing through the airport’s fence, hitting a tractor and then a parked plane before finally stopping.

Nobody was on the plane at the time.

The teen was charged with aggravated driving while intoxicated, DWI, disobeying a police officer, conduct after an accident, and reckless driving.

He was taken to a hospital for an evaluation.

He’s scheduled to be in court on September 9th.
