An Amber Alert was cancelled Friday morning after two missing kids from Somersworth, New Hampshire were found in Maine.

Police say the children are safe after they were found with their mother at a South Portland hotel.

The mother, 32-year-old Kaileigh Nichols, was arrested and charged with two felony counts of interfering with custody.

According to CBS 13, the children’s grandmother has legal custody of the kids.

Police say the grandmother fell asleep around 7:30 p.m. Thursday.

When she woke up two hours later, the kids were gone.

The Amber Alert was then issued for 11-year-old Ailana Wilson and her 8-year-old brother, Chance Wilson.

Police say Nichols suffers from drug addiction and mental health issues.
