Authorities Identify Couple Found Dead in Maine Town

RICHMOND, Maine (AP) Maine police have identified the couple found dead in a Richmond mobile home.

Authorities say 46-year-old Kirk Alexander Jr. and 37-year-old Niomi Mello were found dead Saturday by Mello’s 11-year-old son. The boy ran to a nearby convenience store for help.

Causes of death have not been disclosed. State police say autopsies have been completed and results will be released Monday.

Family members of the victims say the two had been living together for several years. The boy is now staying with his father.

Richmond is located about 20 miles south of the state’s capital, Augusta.
