A Maine man has been arrested in Virginia for sex charges.

According to CBS 13 News, U.S. Marshals said 25-year-old Oscar Geovanny Melgar-Flores was a fugitive who was wanted for sexually assaulting a 13-year-old girl in Maine in April.

They said he fled to Virginia but later returned to Maine to pick up his 17-year-old girlfriend and their 11-month-old daughter. The teenager said she wasn’t being held against her will and accompanied him voluntarily.

Melgar-Flores was taken into custody Tuesday in Newport News, Virginia and will be extradited to Maine.

He faces sex charges as well as a charge of furnishing liquor to a minor.
