Authorities release identity of man killed in small plane crash in Bangor

A man from Italy has been identified as the pilot who died when his plane crashed near Bangor International Airport.

The small plane crashed last Friday, killing the only occupant, 74-year-old Luigi Accusani.

Bangor police say Accusani was scheduled to land in Bangor after taking off from Goose Bay, Newfoundland, Canada.

The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
