Bangor police say death of man found in Penobscot River not considered suspicious

Bangor police have identified a man whose body was found in the Penobscot River.

Sgt. Wade Betters says the body was recovered from the water on August 20th. The man was identified as 43-year-old Jac A. Cook.

Sgt. Betters says the department’s criminal investigation division is handling the case, even though the death does not appear to be suspicious.
