Bath Iron Works says a fourth person associated with the shipyard has tested positive for coronavirus.

It comes amid an ongoing strike at the naval shipyard, with over 4,000 members of a union picketing this week over the terms of a contract.

The company said the individual who tested positive was last at work on June 18th. They say they’re reaching out to all employees who may have come in contact with the individual.

The company didn’t specify whether or not the individual was one of the striking employees.

The shipyard has reported four cases since the coronavirus pandemic began. The first was made public on March 23rd and the second on April 2nd. Both recovered and have since returned to work. A vendor who visited the shipyard was reported to test positive on May 26th.
