Body of missing boater found in water off Waldoboro

Officials say they’ve recovered the body of a man who went missing after taking a boat out on the water off Waldoboro.

According to the Bangor Daily News, the 34-year-old man’s body was found Tuesday morning. The U.S. Coast Guard says his name is not being released at this time.

The Coast Guard received a report of a missing man Monday night. His skiff was seen in the water, but he was nowhere to be found.

Maine Marine Patrol officers located the man’s body around 7:30 a.m. Tuesday after an overnight search.

Officials expected to release more information later in the day on Tuesday.
