Body of Missing Waldoboro Man Found in Searsport

SEARSPORT, Maine (WGAN)  State Police say the body of a missing man has been found in Searsport.

Police last week sent out a release, asking for the public’s help in finding 64-year-old Steven Reed.  The Waldoboro man had been missing since November.

Police say his body was found along the banks of the Penobscot River last week.  The remains were taken to the State Medical Examiner’s Office where a positive identification was made.

Police say Reed had last been seen leaving Eastern Maine Medical Center in Bangor on Nov. 4 after being discharged.

Searsport Police and State Police detectives coordinated in the recovery of his body after it was found on May 8.
