Body recovered from Androscoggin River near Lisbon dam

Police are investigating after a man’s body was recovered from the Androscoggin River on Wednesday.

Police say the body was found around 10 a.m. at the Eagle Creek Renewable Energy Dam in Lisbon Falls. The body was brought to the Medical Examiner’s Office for an autopsy.

Lisbon Police say the investigation is ongoing and there’s no known threat to the public.
