A Brunswick man was arrested Saturday after allegedly swinging a hatchet at another man during a fight in a Walmart parking lot.

Robert McKenney Jr., 24, was charged with reckless conduct with a dangerous weapon and violating conditions of release.

Brunswick police responded to a report of a fight outside the store at about 12:15 a.m. Saturday.

They say McKenney had fled on foot but was located in a nearby neighborhood and arrested without incident.

The other man involved in the fight, a 22-year-old Brunswick resident, wasn’t injured during the altercation.
