Maine individual tests negative for coronavirus

Maine’s Center for Disease Control says a person in the state has tested negative for coronavirus.

The CDC said Thursday they received confirmation from federal health officials that the individual tested negative for the virus. They say there are still no confirmed cases in Maine and that risk to the public remains low.

The CDC said last week that the individual agreed to stay home, and was cooperative with CDC staff.

Health officials on Thursday confirmed the 15th case of the virus in the U.S. The number of confirmed cases globally has surpassed 60,000.
