STANDISH, Maine (WGAN) Students were dismissed early at Bonny Eagle High School on Wednesday after school administrators learned of a threat.

According to the Portland Press Herald, the principal said in an email Wednesday morning they don’t believe the threat was credible, but chose to dismiss students early out of an abundance of caution.

Principal Greg Applestein said the decision came in light of the deadly shooting at a Michigan high school on Tuesday that left four dead.
