Central Maine Power said it was expecting to have power restored to all customers on Tuesday, a day after strong winds brought down tree limbs and power lines.

More than 71,000 CMP customers lost power on Monday. On Tuesday, the utility said it would continue working through the day to restore power to the 2,000 customers who were still without power.

CMP says it had 400 line and tree workers involved in restoration efforts on Monday, and brought on an additional 100 lineworkers from Connecticut and New York to finish the job on Tuesday.
