Couple Arrested for Selling Drugs in Piscataquis County

BROWNVILLE, Maine (WGAN)  The Maine Drug Enforcement Agency says a couple from Brownville has been arrested and charged with selling drugs in Piscataquis County.

49-year-old Robert Wood and 40-year-old Starr Leeman have each been charged with several counts of aggravated unlawful trafficking.

MDEA says their investigation involved undercover purchases of heroin, cocaine and crack cocaine from the couple’s home on Page Street.  Drug agents seized heroin, crack cocaine and prescription pills, along with $18,000 in suspected drug proceeds while searching the home last week.

Agents say Woods remains at Piscataquis County Jail.  Leeman was freed on $20,000 bail.

Drug agents say their investigation continues and more arrests are possible.
