A referendum on a controversial hydropower transmission line in Maine can appear on the ballot in November as a single question, according to a ruling in Maine’s highest court.

The Maine Supreme Judicial Court ruled Thursday that the ballot question challenging the creation of the 145-mile corridor can combine three components of the ballot measure into one.

According to the Portland Press Herald, it will ask voters if they want to ban construction of the line, require legislative approval for similar projects in the future, a review of projects dating back to 2014, and a 2/3rds majority approval from lawmakers for projects that make use of public land.

State Rep. Christopher Caiazzo filed the suit, saying the referendum should be split into three questions.
