Waterville police respond to 2 unrelated shootings within 24 hours

Waterville police say two shootings reported within 24 hours are not related.

Police are still seeking suspects after a shooting that happened during a fight in the parking lot of JFK Plaza Sunday afternoon.

There were no injuries reported.

Another shooting was reported early Monday morning on Brook Street, leading to the arrest of 25-year-old James Furrow on assault and gun charges.

It wasn’t immediately clear if the second shooting led to any injuries.
