Crash leaves bicyclist with serious injuries in Westbrook

One man is in serious condition after he was hit by a car while riding his bicycle in Westbrook.

Police say a car driven by a 16-year-old girl struck a 48-year-old man on a bike Thursday evening at the intersection of Main Street and Tolman Street.

Officers arrived to find the man with serious injuries and a bystander performing CPR before he was taken to the hospital in serious condition.

Police believe multiple witnesses saw the crash and are asking them to give them a call.
