Credit union donates hand sanitizer to Maine Med nurses

Many local businesses and organizations are banding together to do what they can to help those impacted the most by the coronavirus pandemic.

Town and Country Federal Credit Union launched their “Local Helping Local” initiative at the start of the pandemic. Since then, they’ve delivered meals to older Mainers, purchased food for hundreds of frontline healthcare workers, assisted families in need, and supported local restaurants.

Most recently, to recognize the efforts of healthcare workers during National Nurses Week, the credit union donated 100 bottles of hand sanitizer to nurses at Maine Medical Center.

In a statement, Jon Paradise, VP of Public Relations and Communication at TCFCU, said, “With all that is going on and the incredible work that nurses are doing during this healthcare crisis, we felt it was not only important to recognize their efforts but to also make a contribution focused on keeping nurses healthy. We appreciate the remarkable job of nurses and all of our frontline healthcare workers everyday but especially for their care and tireless efforts in this ongoing pandemic.”
