ST. ALBANS, Maine (AP) The Somerset County Sheriff’s Department in Maine says a driver was killed in a head-on collision on Halloween in St. Albans.

Officials say 65-year-old Susan Skillin, of Cambridge, was pronounced dead at the scene Thursday evening after a car crossed the center line and crashed into her Toyota Camry. The other driver, from St. Albans, was taken to a hospital for treatment.

Investigators said slippery conditions and speed were factors in the crash.

They say the accident will be reviewed by the district attorney’s office once the investigation is complete.
