PORTLAND, Maine (WGAN)  Election day is here.

Mainers today are choosing Gov. Paul LePage’s replacement, as well as who will represent the state with a U.S. Senate seat and for the U.S. House of Representatives.

There is also a referendum question on the ballot on whether Mainers want to enact a tax on higher-income homes to fund home care for Maine seniors and those with disabilities.

Four bond questions also appear on today’s ballot.

Our info partners at CBS 13 report that the METRO in the Greater Portland area will be free for all passengers today.  Lyft is offering 50% off rides while Uber is giving $10 off to riders if they’re heading to their polling place.
