Fire Causes Heavy Damage to Home in Cape Elizabeth


CAPE ELIZABETH, Maine (WGAN)  Fire crews out to battle a blaze early Tuesday morning in Cape Elizabeth.

The Cape Elizabeth Fire/Rescue Department says they responded to the home at 51 Ocean House Road jut before 3 a.m.

Crews say the fire was heavy and spreading when they arrived.  Crews from South Portland, Scarborough and Portland helped put the blaze out.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.

Fire crews closed down Route 77 while battling the fire.  The road was reopened around 7 a.m.
